Virtual Services
for Adults
All services at Unchained Brain are provided virtually to adults ages 18 and older through a secure telehealth platform. Services are available in English and Spanish to patients located in Florida and, when eligible, participating PSYPACT jurisdictions.
NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL & PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS
A neuropsychological evaluation examines cognitive abilities such as attention, memory, learning, processing speed, language, problem-solving, and executive functioning. Evaluations may benefit adults experiencing memory changes, cognitive difficulties following a traumatic brain injury or stroke, or concerns related to Parkinson’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, or other neurological and medical conditions. Results can provide diagnostic clarification, establish a cognitive baseline, guide treatment planning, and help distinguish cognitive from emotional contributors. Patients receive feedback, a written report, and individualized recommendations for next steps.
ADULT ADHD TESTING
A comprehensive adult ADHD evaluation helps determine whether persistent difficulties with attention, organization, time management, working memory, task initiation, follow-through, or impulsivity are consistent with ADHD. The evaluation incorporates multiple sources of information and examines symptom patterns, functional impact, and other cognitive, emotional, medical, or situational factors that may contribute to similar difficulties. Patients receive diagnostic clarification, a feedback session, a written report, and individualized recommendations for treatment and everyday functioning, as well as workplace or academic supports when appropriate.
COGNITIVE REHABILITATION
Cognitive rehabilitation is an individualized, goal-oriented treatment that helps adults improve or compensate for cognitive difficulties affecting everyday life. It may benefit individuals experiencing changes related to traumatic brain injury, concussion, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, ADHD, or other neurological and medical conditions. Treatment focuses on practical strategies for attention, memory, organization, planning, task initiation, time management, problem-solving, and cognitive fatigue. Sessions are tailored to each patient's needs and real-life goals to support greater independence and more effective daily functioning.
INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
Individual psychotherapy is available for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic stress, grief, pet loss, caregiver burden, burnout, ADHD-related challenges, relationship concerns, or major life transitions. Dr. Carballea also specializes in helping adults cope with and adjust to brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, memory changes, functional neurological disorder, chronic illness, and changes in health, functioning, identity, or independence. Treatment is warm, collaborative, evidence-based, and adapted to each patient's cognitive strengths, emotional needs, and personal goals.
